Project Learning Tree is one of the largest and most widely used environmental education programs in the world. Its award winning, broad-based environmental education curriculum is designed for educators of PreK–12th grade students.
PLT works through a vast network of over 500,000 PLT-trained educators, international, national, state and local partners, and sponsoring organizations in all 50 states and around the world. For 30 years, PLT has collaborated with a large variety of partners to develop new curriculum materials, provide educator training, reach diverse communities, and create new initiatives for innovative teaching and learning opportunities.
PLT’s Outstanding Educator Awards Program annually honors PLT trained educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental education, exceptional teaching skills, exemplary use of PLT in classroom projects, and sustained use of PLT.
