Excellence in EE – Guidelines for Learning K - 12
Overview:
The National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education was initiated by the NAAEE board of directors in 1993. Since its inception, National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education has produced a series of documents:
- Environmental Education Materials: Guidelines for Excellence
- Excellence in Environmental Education – Guidelines for Learning (Pre K – 12)
- Guidelines for the Preparation and Professional Development of Environmental Education
- Nonformal Environmental Education Programs: Guidelines for Excellence
These documents, published by NAAEE, provide systematic guidance for the development of quality environmental education curricula and programs. Project Learning Tree has played an integral role throughout the development and implementation of the National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education. In a continued show of support, PLT has formally adopted the Guidelines and commits to their use in the development and implementation of organizational activities.
