Journals for the Classroom
Field journals, or science notebooks, are vital instruments for budding scientists. They also allow teachers to track students’ language development and address differentiated instruction. Any blank book will work. However, additional formatting – pages for writing and drawing, prompts for questions, etc. – helps students and teachers use journals more effectively as a tool to foster language development and improve writing skills
