In 2009, schools in the following states will receive training and funding for students and teachers to investigate environmental issues at their school and engage with their community in service-learning projects that create green and healthy learning environments.

Florida 
Lake Butler Elementary School, Lake Butler
Lakeland Christian School, Lakeland
St. Michael Lutheran School, Fort Meyers
St. Paul Lutheran School, Lakeland
Walden Community School, Winter Park
Learning Gate Community School, Lutz

Up to eight elementary schools from Florida’s 11 designated PLT schools will be chosen through a competitive application process

Indiana 
Cold Spring School, Indianapolis

Iowa   
Valley Elementary and Valley High Schools, Elgin
Scattergood Friends School, West Branch
Grinnell Community Middle School, Grinnell
Riverbend Middle School, Iowa Falls
Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School, Vinton

Louisiana  
Oil City Elementary Magnet School, Oil City
Parkway High School, Bossier City

Maryland 
Up to four schools in Baltimore will be been chosen through a competitive application process.  They will be representative of the wide spectrum of educational diversity of both Baltimore public and charter schools.

Missouri/Kansas 
Allen Village Charter School, Kansas City, MO
Borderstar Montessori School, Kansas City, MO
George Melcher Elementary School, Kansas City, MO
Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School, Kansas City, MO

Plus, two more high schools will be selected in the near future from Kansas City, KS and/or Kansas City, MO.

Nevada   
French Ford Middle School, Winnemucca
Pine Middle School, Reno

New Hampshire  
Bicentennial Elementary School, Nashua

Texas   
Eastwood Academy High School, Houston ISD
Monarch School, a private school in Houston
