Picture This: National EE Week Photo Contest

Your photos will showcase the important environmental education work that educators across the country are doing in their classrooms with their students during National Environmental Education Week, April 10 – 16, 2005.
Please submit up to five of your best photos, along with a 150 word narrative that describes how you celebrated National Environmental Education Week. The deadline for photo submissions is Friday, May 6, 2005.
The photo contest prizes are donated by Canon U.S.A., Inc. One winner from each category will receive either a Canon digital camera or a Canon camcorder. The winning photos will be featured on the EE Week and Project Learning Tree websites.
Prize Categories: 1) Elementary: PreK - 2 2) Elementary: 3rd - 5th 3) Middle/Jr. High: 6th - 8th 4) High School: 9th - 12th
Consider all the contest rules below before entering. Contest Rules:
1) The photo contest is open to classroom teachers and youth group leaders who reach children in grades PreK-12th.
2) Photo entries must be postmarked by Friday, May 6, 2005. Photo entries postmarked after May 6th will not be eligible. Photo entries will not be returned.
3) A maximum of FIVE (5) 4x6 photos may be submitted to one of the four prize categories. Photos are encouraged to be submitted via email as .jpeg files.
4) Photo entries may be color or black and white. Please include the following details with each photo: your name and email address, a photo title, photo caption, and where the photo was taken.
5) A photo release form must be submitted for each person appearing in the photos. Children (under the age of 18) must have a parent/legal guardian sign their release; subjects 18 years and older can sign their own release form. Photos submitted without photo releases will not be eligible.
6) Judges appointed by Project Learning Tree will choose contest winners. The judging team will be environmental education professionals from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area.
7) Photos will become the property of Project Learning Tree and will not be returned to contestants.
8) Contest winners will be announced on June 3, 2005 on the EE Week website (www.eeweek.org) and Project Learning Tree’s website (www.plt.org).
