The resources listed below can be used to enhance many of the activities found in the PreK-8 Guide.  Have a look!

 

Earth Gauge is a a project of the National Environmental Education & Training Foundation. The website allows users to search for information by environmental topic. Topics covered include air pollution, erosion, water conservation, energy efficiency and more!

Education Bug helps meet the diverse needs of educators. The website contains articles categorized by type of school, educator, and student age with a wide range of topics, including homeschooling, working with students with ADHD, and more. Site also includes a state-by-state school directory and list of resources.

EPA's new Kids Club is a great opportunity to stimulate learning and get students recognition for environmental projects that benefit their communities.  The Kids Club is open to all students, preK through 4th grade. 

The National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE) has recently launched the Earth Portal. Earth Portal is described as a comprehensive, free, and dynamic resource for timely, objective, science-based information about the environment built by a global community of environmental experts: educators, physical, life, and social scientists, scholars, and professionals who have joined together to communicate to the world. It is said to be created and governed by individuals and organizations who put their names behind their words and that the content is expert-reviewed for accuracy.
