Another "Awarding" Year for Project Learning Tree

The American Society of Association Executives has recognized Project Learning Tree® with two prestigious awards for Excellence in Education. Project Learning Tree (PLT) received a Trophy award for its Print-based Education Program. This includes PLT’s Preschool through Eighth Grade Environmental Education Activity Guide and Secondary Level Modules. PLT also received a certificate for its Community Service Education Programs which include PLT in the City and Greenworks! community action projects.

The awards were presented at the American Society of Association Executives annual Management and Technology conference on December 14 in Washington, DC. The awards recognize outstanding accomplishments in educational programming.

Over the years, Project Learning Tree has received numerous awards, including the top White House award for public/private sector initiative and the Outstanding Service award from the North American Association for Environmental Education. PLT was also rated most effective and unbiased industry-supported environmental education curricula for elementary students by Consumer Reports.

"PLT could only reach this plateau because of the commitment, energy, and enthusiasm of the thousands of volunteers who make PLT work in their communities," said Kathy McGlauflin, Director of Project Learning Tree.
