Energy & Me Selected for 2002 Parents' Choice Recommended Award Winner
The Energy & Me CD was selected as a 2002 Parents' Choice Recommended Award Winner. Parents' Choice Awards are given to products that meet and exceed standards set by educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents, and kids. Fewer than 15% of the products submitted to Parents' Choice each year, win a Parents' Choice Award. The awards are selected by committees of moms, dads, teachers, performing artists, librarians, and kids who search and recommend products that help kids grow - imaginatively, physically, morally and mentally - fairly priced products that are fun, safe and socially sound. Established in 1978, Parents' Choice Foundation, sponsor of the awards, is the nation's oldest not-for-profit evaluator of children's books, videos, toys, audios, computer software, television, and magazines.
The Energy & Me CD also received a 2002 Children's Music Web Award in the category of Best Educational Recording for Older Children. The Children's Music Web Awards are the world's first Internet-based music awards for children, and the only children's music awards truly decided by kids. The awards recognize quality entertainment for children worldwide. Applicants are scored quantitatively according to specific guidelines for quality, appropriate lyrics, arrangements, and other factors.
