Project Learning Tree’s Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood curriculum has been selected as one of the world's 100 leading sustainable solutions by Sustainia, an international institute that identifies innovative and impactful projects from around the world that are leading the way for a sustainable future.

Dominick DeRosa, a teacher at F.L. Schlage High School, a Project Learning Tree GreenSchool! in Kansas City, Kansas, is one of 11 teachers nationwide to receive the 2013 Presidential Innovation Award for Environmental Educators.

These Outstanding Educators illustrate how PLT can be used effectively with all age groups, both in the classroom or outdoors, and across the curriculum--especially in STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and math.) They will be honored at PLT’s 27^th International Coordinators’ Conference, April 29-May 2, in Point Clear, Alabama.

Project Learning Tree® (PLT) has a new set of curriculum materials to engage students in hands-on learning and grants for schools and youth organizations that propose environmental service-learning projects. The deadline to apply is September 30.
