"Forest Wildlife and Biological Diversity" Bob Boyles - ODNR Div. of Forestry Chief, Sue Wintering, Project Learning Tree - Ohio, Dr. Suzie Prange, ODNR Div. of Wildlife, Forest Wildlife Research Biologist, Mike Reynolds, ODNR Div. of Willdlife Biiologist, Lindsay Rist, ODNR Div. of Wildflie Education Specialist, Greg Smith, ODNR Div. of Forestry, I & E Administrator.. Day 1, experience and participate in on-location workshop highlighting forest diversity with local experts. Day 2 Project Learning Tree & Project Wild workshop focusing on the themes of the first day.. Participate in highly interactive lessons and receive PLT & WILD curriculum materials with hundreds of activty lessons for teachers and PreK - 12 youth leaders.. Hear from experts and receive much in resources to use long beyond the workshop. All PLT and WILD materials help teachers create learning experiences that fit the new ODE Model Program Curriculum standards as well as many national education standards..

Portage & Geauga Soil & Water Conservation Districts invite teachers of preschool thru 12th grade, collge professors, and informal educators to participate in an exciting 5-day workshop that will provde invaluabel training and unique experiences including water quuality and watershed investigations, nature hikes, fen and forest explorations, star gazing, and naturalist-guided canoe float on a pristing and protected kettle lake. While in the field exploring our natural world, each participant will learn to use and receive their own Project Learning Tree guide, Project WILD and Project WILD Aquatice, Science & Civics, and Project WET guides. 1-3 optional graduate credits will be available thur Ashland University for attending. registration deadline is June 3, 2013!
