Project Learning Tree would like to thank outgoing members from its Education Operating Committee and welcome new members who are dedicated to PLT’s mission.
Back in 1976 the first PLT workshops were held in ten western states. Since then PLT has trained more than 675,000 educators across the country through in-person workshops. But, we’re keeping pace with change and now also offer environmental education on demand.
The overhauled federal education law promotes environmental education as a way to provide students with a well-rounded, 21st century education. It includes funding to grow environmental literacy in K-12 public schools.
